This 8-night / 9-day luxury Costa Rica honeymoon package takes you to three five-star resorts in three distinct regions. Your visit begins at a waterfall garden with the country’s top hot springs spa and ends in the country’s top resort: The Four Seasons in Papagayo. 

Our basic package includes hotels and transportation or you can select the romantic package with tours, private dinners and spa treatments.  The package can be reserved as described below or can be modified to fit your interests and needs.  Services can always be added through our online honeymoon registry. 

Day 1: Arrival at San Jose International Airport on a flight to be determined. A contact person will pick you up in the customs area and take you to a private van. 

Enjoy the 60-minute drive up the mountains to the renowned Peace Lodge, located inside the La Paz Waterfall Gardens Park.  Spend a wonderful evening unwinding in one of the country’s most romantic spots.  The Peace Lodge is located on the northern mountains of the Central Valley, and offers spectacular views of the northern mountains of the valley.

The La Paz Waterfall Park features Costa Rica’s most magnificent waterfalls, the country’s largest butterfly farm, a charming hummingbird gallery, a serpentarium, frog farm and enchanting gardens.  Overnight in a Standard room at Peace Lodge.

Day 2: Have a leisurely breakfast and enjoy the Peace Lodge and the La Paz Waterfall Gardens.  A driver will pick you up from the hotel to take you on a two-and-a-half hour drive to the Northern Planes and the Arenal Volcano region. This drive will take you down from the mountains of the Central Valley into the rainforest of Sarapiqui and the San Carlos lowlands.  After the drive, arrive in Arenal and check into a Superior Garden room at the renowned Tabacon Grand Spa, the country’s top rated hot springs resort and spa. 

Days 3 and 4: Explore the Arenal region, Costa Rica’s “adventure capital” or stay at Tabacon and enjoy the spa and the hot springs.  Suggested activities while in Arenal (optional activities, not included in base package price):

Visit the Fortuna River Waterfalls and see magnificent waterfalls cascade into the rainforest.  Hiking and swimming available.

Go rafting on the Sarapiqui River. The river has Class III and IV rafting for adventure aficionados and the slower Floating Safari Class II for nature lovers.  Both are excellent tour choices featuring amazing scenery, interesting wildlife and thrilling adventure.

Try canyoning, one of the country's top adventure activities.  Rappel down a waterfall inside the rainforest, truly an unforgettable experience!

For nature and kayaking lovers, Lake Arenal – Costa Rica’s largest – offers the opportunity to experience a memorable kayaking outing with possibility to spot interesting local wildlife in their natural habitat.

View the forest from the Hanging Bridges Tour.  It is an impressive hike in the rainforest over a series of suspension bridges. View various types of flora and fauna at differing heights—from the ground to well above the canopy—what a way to see the jungle!

Experience the thrill of zip lining through the canopy of the rainforest on the Sky Trek and Aerial Tram, one of Costa Rica’s top canopy tours.   A great way to experience the rain forest and a real adrenaline rush! 

Overnight in a Superior Garden room at Tabacon Grand Spa.

Day 5: Free morning.  After check-out, you will be transferred to the Gulf of Papagayo (a four- and-a-half hour ride, can be substituted for local flight).  This beautiful drive takes you around Lake Arenal into the town of Tilaran.  The drive will transfer you from lush rainforest to the tropical dry forests of the Guanacaste Savannah.  Drive through Tilaran and Canas and merge into the Interamerican Highway en route to Liberia, the capital of the Guanacaste Province.  Arrive at the Four Seasons Resort, the country’s most luxurious resort, ranked Top 25 worldwide by Conde Nast in 2006. Check into a Garden room.

Days 6 – 8: Enjoy luxury and pampering at the Four Seasons.  Some of the services offered at the resort include a full service spa with master yoga teachers and a fully equipped gym, one of Latin America’s top championship golf courses, and a myriad of tours and activities available in the area. 

We recommend considering some of the following activities and tours (not included in base package price):

Take a boat ride down the dry tropical forest on a tour to the Palo Verde National Park.  Spot exciting wildlife native to the Guanacaste region, including two species of monkeys, sloths, iguanas and many tropical birds.

Visit the Rincon de la Vieja National Park, and the mud baths and hot springs in the region.  This tour features horseback riding, an exciting canopy / rappel experience and hikes in the rainforest.

Play golf at the Arnold Palmer Signature Championship Course at the Four Seasons Resort in Papagayo.

Experience the thrills of the Witches Rock Canopy Tour, one of the country’s top rated adventures.
