This 9-night /10-day deluxe eco Costa Rica honeymoon package visits Costa Rica’s most nature-intense regions and features some of the country’s most memorable adventures. The itinerary starts with a thrilling two-day White Water Class IV experience with an overnight stay in a river lodge. After a couple of days in the pristine beaches of Cahuita, the trip continues with a two night visit to Tortuguero in the Caribbean Northeast, a jungle home to nesting green and leatherback turtles. After Tortuguero the trip ends in Arenal Volcano for a three-night stay in the rainforest that includes exciting adventures, lush jungle and the country’s top hot springs spas.

Day 1: Arrival at San Jose International Airport. You will be met in the customs area and taken to your transfer van. Check into a standard room at Hotel Grano de Oro, one of the city’s top bed and breakfasts. Rest of the day free to explore the city’s many entertainment and dining options.
Day 2: The rafting company staff will pick you early in the morning to transfer you to the Pacuare River. After leaving San José, stop for a delicious breakfast at the Ríos Tropicales Operations Center before arriving at the river. Once at the river, your professional guides will load your gear into dry bags, prepare the equipment and give you complete safety and paddle instruction. The first day's Class III rapids welcome you to the Pacuare gorge's charm as you raft deep in the heart of primary rainforest. Arrive at the award-winning Ríos Tropicales Lodge where you can spend the afternoon relaxing, hiking or soaking in the waterfall and pools. Nestled in the jungle on a 1,000-acre private reserve, the lodge offers comfortable "Cabecar Indian" style bungalows.
Day 3: After a hearty breakfast, paddle down the Pacuare gorge, past gushing waterfalls, serene pools and pounding rapids. A snack stop on the river banks lets you explore more waterfalls and natural waterslides. An adrenaline-packed afternoon, running rapids like Upper and Lower Huacas, Cimarron, Dos Montañas and many more, will have you cheering ecstatically.
Upon completion of the rafting adventure, the driver will pick you up and take you to the Cahuita beaches in the southern Caribbean region. Check into a standard room in Shawanda or Azania. Spend two days relaxing in one of Costa Rica’s most lush and beautiful beaches.
Day 4: Free day to relax in the beaches of Cahuita. Overnight in a standard room in Shawanda or Azania.
Day 5: Check out of your Cahuita Hotel. The driver will take you on a one hour transfer to the local pier. At Caño Blanco, you will board the covered boat to the lodge, passing the Tortuguero canals Check in, and participate in the afternoon activities after lunch: visit to the Turtle Museum of the Caribbean Conservation Corporation (C.C.C.) and the colorful Tortuguero town.
Return to the lodge for dinner and for time to enjoy the pool and the bar service. Overnight in a Standard room at Pachira Lodge.
Day 6: (Optional 6:15 am tour to admire the awakening of the wildlife of Tortuguero. Return for breakfast 7:30 a.m. - 9:00 a.m.) Admire the canals of Tortuguero National Park on an interesting boat ride, and observe abundant flora and fauna. The afternoon is free for an optional tour or explore the private trails of the lodge and visit the open butterfly garden. Turtle watching tour departs after sundown. Overnight in a Standard room at Pachira Lodge.
Day 7: Early breakfast followed by a boat ride to town. Transfer to the Arenal Volcano region. This drive will take you through the Sarapiqui rainforest region to San Carlos, one of the country’s most productive regions, with wood industries, cattle ranches and agriculture. Arrive at Lost Iguana Lodge and check into a Standard room. Spend the rest of the afternoon and evening to enjoy the hotel and visit the spa or to visit one of the many hot springs resorts in the Arenal Volcano area.
Days 8 and 9: Explore the Arenal Volcano region, Costa Rica’s “adventure capital” or visit Tabacon and enjoy the spa and the hot springs. While in Arenal (choose one activity for today)
Relax at the country’s top hot springs resorts featuring breath-taking volcano views and lush tropical gardens. Some of Costa Rica’s top spas and therapists make Arenal their home.
Visit the Fortuna River Waterfalls, located about three miles from town. Here, magnificent waterfalls cascade into the rainforest. If you wish, you will have the opportunity to hike and swim in the river.
Try canyoning, one of the country's top adventure activities. Rappel down a waterfall inside the rainforest, truly, an unforgettable experience!

Day 10: Following breakfast, check out of the hotel. Be transferred to the San Jose International Airport. The drive will bring you through the San Carlos flatlands and up the mountains to the Interamerican Highway. After driving through San Ramon, continue to the airport in San Jose. Check into your return flight.
