The truly luxurious Gaia opened to rave reviews in early 2006.  A member of the Small Luxury Hotels of the World, Gaia is the only five-star property in the Manuel Antonio region.  We simply love this hotel!

Twenty guest rooms, a combination of studios, suites, deluxe suites and two bedroom villas, offer guests a wide range of lodging options. All rooms are exquisitely designed, and decorated with modern and luxurious furnishings.  Original works of art from renowned artists are masterfully complemented by high-tech electronics such as flat screen plasma televisions with state-of-the-art audio systems.  Every room has well stocked mini-bars, Wi-Fi internet access and some of Costa Rica’s most comfortable beds outfitted with deluxe 500 thread count Egyptian cotton sheets.  Feather pillows are available upon request. 

The Gaia hotel is built on a hilltop nestled in a large rainforest property.  Only a few acres are developed, leaving this jewel as a stand-alone development inside a private reserve.  If there are any weaknesses to this hotel, the fact that it is far from the ocean is probably the one that is worth mentioning.  Views from the rooms, while spectacular, do not offer the unobstructed, dramatic ocean scenes other hotels in the area boast.

Dining and spa services at Gaia are simply spectacular.  The hotel’s restaurant offers some of Costa Rica’s best cuisine, complemented by stunning views and an open air, romantic and relaxing atmosphere.  It is truly one of the top hotels and resorts for a romantic and luxurious Costa Rica honeymoon.

Gaia is a true adults-only property, with a strictly enforced policy that does not allow kids under 16.  It has quickly become one of the hottest luxury hotels in Manuel Antonio, so making reservations early will be required during all seasons. Gaia is the ideal spot for a high end, romantic honeymoon in Costa Rica.
