The Doubletree Cariari by Hilton was designed as Costa Rica’s first luxury hotel at one of the top San Jose hotels. Built in the 1970s, it has recently undergone a complete renovation as management operations were recently taken over by the Hilton Hotels. The original design, with its typical roof tiles, flooring and use of precious woods, inspired by local, mid-Twentieth Century Costa Rican architecture, has been preserved.

Recently upgraded rooms at the hotel are very comfortable and offer either pool or garden views. Balconies are available on the upper floors.
