We believe that all honeymoons in Costa Rica should visit at least two regions of the country, to get a good taste for the best the country has to offer. Day 1: Arrive at the San Jose International Airport on a flight TBD. After clearing immigration and customs, exit the airport and meet your driver. Board the van for the 20 minute drive to San Jose and check into a Superior Room at Hotel Grano de Oro. Spend the rest of the afternoon and evening enjoying the facilities at this hotel. Day 2: Your Tortuguero package begins early in the morning with a pick up at the San Jose Hotel. You will be traveling to Manatus Lodge with a bilingual naturalist guide on an air conditioned bus. Drive through the Braulio Carrillo National Park, where you have the opportunity to see beautiful views and abundant vegetation. On the way we will stop for breakfast at Rancho Robertos Restaurant. After breakfast you will continue the trip to Caño Blanco deck driving by banana plantations. At Caño Blanco, you will board the boat to the lodge, passing the Tortuguero canals arriving at 1:00 p.m. At the lodge the staff will be waiting for you with a refreshing cocktail, your room will be assigned and the guide will explain the afternoon activities after lunch -the visit to the Turtle Museum of the C.C.C. (Caribbean Conservation Corporation) and to the colorful Tortuguero town. Check into a Standard Room. Overnight in a Standard Room at Manatus Hotel. Day 3: Depart on the optional 6:15 am tour to admire the awakening of the wildlife of Tortuguero. Return for breakfast (service between 7:30 a.m. to 9:00 a.m.). Then another boat tour to admire the canals of Tortuguero National Park. This is a wonderful and interesting experience where you can see abundant flora and fauna of Tortuguero National Park. Return to the lodge for lunch and time off for a siesta, enjoy the pool or go for a walk to the beach. Then you have another optional tour to the canals or stay at the lodge to explore the private trails of the lodge and visit the open butterfly garden. During turtle nesting season (June – October), you have the opportunity to visit the beach and national park to observe these marine creatures dig their nests and lay eggs, and in the later part of the season, observe the turtle hatchings and the baby turtles make their way back to the sea. Day 04: At a time TBA enjoy breakfast and check out. At 6:30 am board the boat for your transfer to Tortuguero Airstrip. Arrive and check in to the 35 minute flight to San Jose. Upon arrival board the connecting flight to Tamarindo in Guacanaste. Upon arrival the driver will be waiting to start the 15 minute drive to Conchal Beach. Cross the gates to Costa Rica’s premier all inclusive resort and check into a Deluxe Garden Junior Suite. Enjoy a leisurely boat ride through the dry tropical forest on a tour to the Palo Verde National Park. This park is home to amazing wildlife, including two species of monkeys, sloths, tropical birds, coatimundis, and unique reptiles.
