Our Costa Rica honeymoons experts have designed this innovative and unique luxury package featuring three of the country’s newest hotels and resorts that have made a huge splash in the local market and have become instant hits with travelers and couples. This package starts with a two night stay in one of the country’s top Cloud Forest Resorts, featuring an exquisite bungalow in El Silencio Lodge. It continues north to the Arenal Volcano Region, with a two night stay in the amazing The Springs Resort, a new hot springs and spa hotel offering spectacular views of the volcano. It ends with four nights at Costa Rica’s newest luxury beach destination, the JW Marriott in Hacienda Pinilla, near Tamarindo Guanacaste. We have included two of the top adventure tours in Arenal that can easily be replaced for other activities, and allowed for relaxation at the beach.
Day 1: Arrive at the San Jose International Airport. Sign the contract and pick up a Mid Size SUV with GPS (Suzuki Grand Vitara or similar) and start the 2 hour drive to the mountain region where you will find El Silencio Lodge. Hidden in Costa Rica’s central volcanic region, El Silencio Lodge & Spa is a planet-friendly sanctuary for soft adventure and inspired wellness. Arrive and check into a Deluxe Suite at El Silencio Lodge & Spa.
Day 2: Free day to embark on your guided hike of the cloud forest (included), and enjoy the grounds of this unique eco-lodge. Explore the region and visit the spa and the gardens. Overnight in a Deluxe Suite at El Silencio Lodge & Spa.
Day 3: Enjoy breakfast and the morning at the hotel. At your leisure, check out and start the 1 and 1/2 hour drive to The Springs Resort & Spa in the Arenal Volcano Region. This drive will take you down the northern mountains to the San Carlos region, an area rich in agriculture, forests and cattle. Arrive and check into an Alta Vista Room. Take the rest of the afternoon and evening to enjoy the hot springs and spa.
Day 4: After an early breakfast, you will be picked up at the main lobby by the staff from the canyoning tour. Board the van for the 20 minute drive to the meeting point en route to the Canyoning spot. You will then transfer to a truck for another 15 minutes to the Canyoning site. Hike to the first platform and enter the canyon in the heart of the rainforest. The views are spectacular. Enjoy the 5 rappels, including a 150 ft drop. Three rappels are in waterfalls, two are on dry walls. Lunch will be served after the adventure at the Operations Centre. After completing this thrilling adventure return to the resort. Overnight in a Alta Vista Room at The Springs Resort.
Day 5: Following breakfast, you will be picked up for the thrilling Ecogllide canopy tour. Ecoglide is one of Costa Rica’s newest adventure parks; the canopy tour consists of 15 cables and 18 platforms which are divided into three sections that are found mostly in the trees. An optional “Tarzan Swing”, similar to a bungee jump, is included mid-tour.
Upon conclusion of tour, return to the hotel and check out. At your leisure start the 4 hour drive to the Tamarindo / Hacienda Pinilla area. This beautiful drive takes you around Lake Arenal into the town of Tilaran. The drive will transfer you from lush rainforest to the tropical dry forests of the Guanacaste Savannah. Upon arrival, cross the gates of the luxurious and recently opened JW Marriott. Overnight in a Deluxe Garden View Room at JW Marriott.
Day 6: Free morning at the beach and resort. In the afternoon, you will be picked up for your sunset cruise. The tour is a relaxing Bay Cruise to seek dolphins, turtles and jumping manta rays. Enjoy gliding through the pacific waters, wind in your hair while listening to a wide CD selection of music. Overnight in a Deluxe Garden View Room at JW Marriott.
Day 7 - 8: Free days to enjoy the hotel facilities and many activities available in the region. Enjoy the beach, the pools and the resort. Please review the list of recommendations (not included).
Enjoy a leisurely boat ride through the dry tropical forest on a tour to the Palo Verde National Park. This park is home to amazing wildlife, including two species of monkeys, sloths, tropical birds, coatimundis, and unique reptiles.
Visit the Rincón de la Vieja National Park and some of the mud baths and hot springs in the region. This park offers the opportunity to select from a wide range of activities including challenging hikes, relaxing hot mud baths, exciting tours on horseback, and one of Costa Rica’s top canopy adventures.
Play golf at Hacienda Pinilla in Playa Langosta or at the Robert Trent Jones golf course at the Reserva Conchal.
Explore the native mangroves in Tamarindo on a sea kayaking tour. Spot two types of monkeys, exotic birds and other local wildlife while paddling down the estuary.
Enjoy surfing lessons taught by a professional in the beautiful beaches of the Tamarindo Bay. Ideal for families with children! Instructors will guarantee you catch at least one wave!
Spend a couple hours in a snorkeling or diving expedition off the Catalina Islands near Flamingo. Spot the unique marine wildlife of the Pacific shores of Guanacaste.
Go Fishing! Stay in-shore for a half-day outing in search of snapper, wahoo, mahi-mahi, and mackerel, or spend the full day offshore fishing for sailfish and marlin with an expert crew professionally equipped and guided by late model electronics.
Watch the giant leatherback turtles nesting during a special night tour (only available from mid-November to late February). This miracle of nature can only be seen in select places around the globe during a few months of the year.

Day 9: Enjoy your last morning at the resort. At a time TBD, start the 1 hour drive back to the rent a car office. Return the car and take the shuttle to the Liberia International Airport.
